A more complete list of campout guidelines and planning information can be found
The troop asks that parents of each scout volunteer to drive or attend at least two campouts per school year.
Scouts arriving late and leaving early disrupt the campout, increase the logistical complexity, and shortchange themselves. Life is complex, however, and sometimes schedule conflicts are inevitable. Thus, each scout can arrive late or leave early on one campout per school year. After that, scouts may be asked not to attend a campout if he cannot come up Friday and back Sunday with the troop.
Scouts arriving late or leaving early cannot serve in a leadership capacity on campouts.
Scouts leaving early or arriving late will be responsible for their own transportation.

In general this troop avoids the use of cotton materials for clothing. Cotton absorbs moisture and is recognized as a cause of hypothermia. Please do not bring cotton clothes because it might rain. Because rain and cold are unpredictable, always carry a high quality rain jacket with a hood. Rain pants, a pack cover, and a rain fly for your tent are all desirable gear.
